Slow Flow
Style: Yoga
Level: Options explained before transitions
Typical format: 60 minutes
A steady, unhurried practice with time to find each shape.
Meet the format teacher.
The teacher for an individual weekly session is shown on its session page.
A little room to breathe
An unhurried studio practice with room to ask about the pace, starting level and what to bring. Adaptations depend on the teacher and the needs of each person.
Before you arrive
Arrive a little early, wear something comfortable and tell the teacher about relevant access needs. Check the session details and ask the studio about equipment and confirmation before setting out.
Time between movements
Slow Flow connects a small number of movements without making speed the goal. A transition is explained before the group tries it, then repeated so there is time to notice the route from one position to another. The sequence stays recognisable while the teacher offers choices for how to take part.
A clear sequence
The class begins with a short introduction and a chance to arrange equipment. A standing section is followed by slower mat work, with pauses between the two. A participant may watch a demonstration, return to a familiar position or ask for a different explanation. The closing minutes are quiet, but there is no requirement to remain in a particular shape or to have a particular experience.
What to bring
The sample session lasts sixty minutes and uses a mat. Simple supports may be discussed in advance; the timetable itself does not guarantee equipment or access arrangements. Wear something that allows comfortable movement and allow a little time before the start to find the room. Previous studio experience can be useful context for the teacher, but comparison with other participants is not part of the format.
Choose a session
Read the local start time and teacher details before sending an inquiry. A weekly listing describes the pattern of a class; the studio confirms the date, suitability questions and availability directly.
