Teaching approach
Alex builds a class around a sequence that is easy to follow rather than a list of shapes to complete. A short explanation comes before the movement, with a pause to look, ask or choose another version. In a slower class, this makes the transitions part of the practice instead of a race between positions.
The opening minutes are a chance to settle into the room and hear how the session will unfold. Alex uses ordinary language and repeats useful cues, while leaving quiet space between them. Participants can observe a movement before trying it and discuss practical access questions ahead of the class.
Away from the mat, the teaching approach centres on preparation: keeping the room layout clear, checking what equipment a session uses and making the next step understandable. The aim is a welcoming conversation about practice, not a promised personal result.
